Chengdue - Lhasa - Mt. Kailash - Kathmandu

Trip Itinerary

Day 01: Fly from Chengdu to Lhasa Gonggar Airport 100 Km drives to reach Lhasa City
Day 02: Lhasa sightseeing tour - visit the Potala & Norbulinka Palace
Day 03: Drive to Lhasa - Gyantse   8 hours drive crossing the Korala (5010m) and Kampala (4794m) passes and Lake Yamdrok Tso then crossing Yarlung tsangpo (Brahmaputra) river.
Day 04: Gyantse - Lhatse (4300m)-244km Morning visit famous Tasilumpo Monastery and seat of Panchan Lama until his death in 1989 with its huge thanka wall, which is clearly visible from north side of the road. Enroute visit Sakya Monastery and over night at hotel.
Day 05: From Lhatse to Saga before reaching Saga 240 Km drive.
Day 06: Drive to Paryang.
Day 07: Drive to Hor que / Manasarovar.
Day 08: Rest day at manasarovar (Puja)
Day 09: Drive to Darchen.
Day 10: Darchen to Deraphuk round Mt. Kailash
Day 11: Deraphuk to Drolma La Pass and at Zutulphuk.
Day 12: Zutulphuk to Horchyu near Mansarovar Lake
Day 13: Horchyu to Paryang
Day 14: Paryang to Saga
Day 15: Saga to Lhatse.
Day 16: Lhatse to Lhasa.
Day 17: After breakfast drive 100 KM to the airport and fly to Kathmandu, free day for shopping.
Day 18: Sight around Kathmandu Valley (Holy place of Pashupatinath, Boudha Stupa and Budhanilakantha)
Day 19: Departure

OPTIONAL ITINERARY:

Day 15: Saga to Nylam.
Day 16: Nylamu to Kathmandu. Overnight at hotel.
Day 17: Sight around Kathmandu Valley (Holy place of Pashupatinath, Boudha Stupa and Budhanilakantha)
Day 18: Free day for shopping, overnight at hotel.
Day 19: Departure
