Sikkim a majestic Himalayan state has its own identity as a piece of paradise for outdoors lovers. The land of Sikkim is combination of great mountains, high hills, varied culture and different religion. This state is home of three major population groups Lepcha, Bhutiya and Nepali. It's an amazing place of hidden valleys, mystical monasteries, snow fed ice-lakes and wide range of flora and fauna. Sikkim is situated among other mountain countries and hill districts: Tibet(China) in the north and east, Bhutan and Darjeeling in the south-est and Nepal in the west. Mt. Kanchanjangha (8586mtr) dominats the landscape and is regarded as country's guardian deity. Sikkim General Information

GENERAL INFORMATION

Access:
From KTM fly to Bhadrapur in the east Nepal 1 hour then drive to Kakarvitta {Nepal India Border 34KM} to Siliguri 36KM and Gangtok or Darjeeling . There are also daily Helicopter flights from Bagdogra to Gangtok.

Best Season: March –May and October- December

Temperature:
During Summer- Maximum 20 Degree Celsius
During Winter Minimum 7 Degree Celsius
Adventure: Trekking, Mountaineering, Rafting and Yak Safari.

Accommodation:
There are modern hotels and restaurants in Gangtok & Darjeeling. Comfortable resort and lodges are available in the outlying area.

VISA REGULATIONS:
Single Entry Tourist Visa is obtainable either in all entry points or Royal Nepalese Diplomatic Missions abroad upon a payment of US $ 30.00 for 60 days. In options of those visitors who wish for obtaining single, double or multiple re-entry visas is also possible with a supplementary payment of US 25.00, US $ 30.00 and US $ 60.00 correspondingly.

In term of those visitors who have already visited in Nepal with Tourist Visa and intends again to enter in the same year within 150 days visa is obtaibable on the payment of US $ 50.00 for one month.

In connection with those visitors wishing for stay more than 60 days in Nepal can extendible their Tourist Visa upon a payment of US $ 50.00 or equivalent Nepalese Currency for 30 days from Department of Immigration.

Visitors holding tourist visa are subject to staying only 150 days.
