You do not need to be a mountaineer or athletic to enjoy trekking in the Himalaya. If you are reasonably fit, have a sprit of outdoor activities and able to walk each day 5 to 7 hours comprises ups and downs; you qualify. However good physical conditioning will probably help for the maximum enjoyment of treks. For most treks, we recommend a programme of sports, running, cycling, walk involving ups and downs or aerobics couple of months before departure to Nepal.
